Rally Obedience is a fun sport where you and your dog execute obedience moves through a set course. Rally was started by the AKC to give people a fun alternative to classic obedience using obedience moves.
Rally courses consist of numbered signs that are set out in a designed course. You and your dog begin at the “Start” sign; go through the course following the numbers — executing the moves at each sign — and end at the “Finish” sign.
In Rally, you may use hand signals, voice cues and verbal encouragement throughout the course. It is a great way to improve your dog’s focus and attention while strengthening the bond between you.
