Treibball

Another new form of dog sport introduced in the U.S. over the past few years by Dianna Stearns and the American Treibball Association.  It is based on training principles used in sheep herding where the dog is taught to “round up” inflated balls and drive them toward the handler at the goal.  While one would think dogs with natural herding instincts are the ones who excel at this sport, all dogs are capable of great fun and success with Treibball because it’s more about building a strong relationship between the dog and the handler.
